"Off the Rails" tells the story of an old railroad in Arles, once part of a vital transportation hub due to its proximity to the Rhône River and cities like Marseille and Avignon. Abandoned in the mid-20th century as road transport rose, the tracks have since been transformed into a walking path, blending into local culture.
The trail starts near the Van Gogh Bridge and ends by the Luma Foundation, reflecting a broader European trend of repurposing disused infrastructure for daily life and leisure.
